The upcoming U.S. tour by Lauryn Hill and Fugees has been canceled, only three days before the first show of the run was set to take place. The co-headlining tour was to be an extension of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Hill’s landmark album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. But as of now, all dates on the tour have been removed from Ticketmaster and ticketholders began receiving notices about receiving refunds late on Tuesday (August 6). No reason was given to fans for the cancellation –  by either the artists involved or the tour’s promoter, Live Nation – in the refund notifications that went out to disappointed fans.

Ticketholders have been posting screenshots of an abrupt message they received from Live Nation that reads, “Your event has been canceled. A refund will be on its way to your account soon.” The tour was set to begin Friday (August 9) in Tampa, with 18 total dates for the tour now canceled. Representatives for Hill and Live Nation have not responded to requests for comment as of yet. (Variety)
