Something that stated off as under age lovin’ turned into a kiss a death for a 17 year old in Mexico City.

Doctors reportedly believe that a hickey on the young man’s neck caused a blood clot to travel quickly to his brain, resulting in a stroke.

The news is that Julio Macia Gonzalez of Iztapalapa went to the emergency room for treatment after suffering convulsions at the dinner table followed by a makeout session with his 24-year-old girlfriend, “Iris.” Paramedics discovered a large purple bruse on Julio’s neck which they identified as a hickey, but they were not able to save his life. Doctors believe the hickey caused a blood clot to form which traveled to the boy’s brain, causing a stroke.

There has been at least one other recorded case of a hickey-caused stroke, an incident in New Zealand in 2011, where a 44 year old woman was partially paralyzed after a hickey on her neck, it caused a blood clot which ended up in her heart. She lived, but furthermore, be aware!
