It’s horrible to imagine that you could find yourself in the middle of an active shooter scenario, but there are things to know that could help save your life and others around you.

Thanks to the LA County Sheriff’s Department, a video was created and published earlier this year to help victims not only increase their own chances of survival, but also aid law enforcement in stopping the assailant(s).

This “how to” instructional video was made on a shoe string budget with dozens of volunteers, but it so realistic, that there is a graphic content warning that you should pay attention too before you click.

I pray that we will never need to use this knowledge in a real life scenario, but I will sleep better tonight knowing that I passed it on just in case.
