Christopher Warner, who has Down syndrome, hardly ever stops talking about the band’s music. So when he got to meet Adam Levine on Monday night, he had a bit of a panic attack.

Avery Stanert, a special education teacher at the school, created a video showing how much he gushes over Maroon 5’s music.

The video wound up in the right hands because backstage passes and tickets were arranged with the record label so Christopher could meet his favorite band!

When Christopher was finally face-to-face with Adam backstage after the show, he panicked and became very shy and uncomfortable, hiding behind his mom and crouching down onto the floor. Adam handled it in the best possible way and suggested everyone else get on the floor, too.

He’s a typical 10-year-old boy,” his teacher said. “He loves music, he loves drawing, he loves his friends. He’s just a very caring, really amazing boy. And so is his twin brother. His whole family is really great.”
