Justin Timberlake made a remote appearance in court on Friday (August 2), in a hearing for his DWI arrest in Sag Harbor, Long Island in June. Timberlake pleaded not guilty to the charge. Due to Timberlake’s refusal to take a breathalyzer test during his DWI arrest, Sag Harbor Justice Carl Irace revoked his drivers license. Under New York state law, a refusal to take a breathalyzer test ultimately results in the suspension of that individual’s drivers license.

During the hearing, Judge Irace admonished Timberlake’s attorney, Edward Burke Jr., for his recent “irresponsible” comments about the case. In particular, Burke has alleged that the arresting officer made “very significant errors” in his charging complaint, while also continuing to insist that Timberlake was not intoxicated at the time of his arrest. Timberlake is due back in court on September 13th. Meanwhile, the European leg of Timberlake’s Forget Tomorrow World Tour continues on August 7 in Birmingham, England. (Consequence of Sound
