Rihanna confirmed to headline NFL Super Bowl LVII halftime show at State Farm Stadium

 So that means the reports Taylor Swift is going to perform at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show are false. Unless she will be a special guest? Taylor and Rihanna are friendly. Hmmmmm

Apple Music, which was recently named the official sponsor of the annual music and pop culture event, succeeding Pepsi, and they are promising fans will see more details and sneak peeks about the upcoming performance in the coming months through Apple Music’s various social media platforms.

The Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show telecast will be produced by DPS, with Roc Nation and Jesse Collins serving as executive producers, and Hamish Hamilton serving as director.

“Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn,” Jay-Z, founder of Roc Nation, said in a statement. “A person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever. Self-made in business and entertainment.”

Rihanna twice previously turned down the Super Bowl halftime shows, in 2018 and 2019, in solidarity with San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Many fans are hoping this is a sign of new music coming out as well. Rihanna hasn’t given us a whole new album since 2016.
