If we ask for another BEETLEJUICE three times will it happen?
- Believe it or not, Beetlejuice the movie will celebrate its 34th birthday on March 30, and Brad Pitt could be the catalyst to a sequel.
- The rumor is that Pitt’s production company Plan B has joined to do the sequel with Michael Keaton returning as “the ghost with the most” and Wynona Ryder back as Lydia Deetz.
- As a matter of fact, filming on the sequel could start this summer.
From NYPOST.com:
The details-scarce project has allegedly “long been in the works at Warner Bros.,” according to the outlet, which also noted that the film is currently in a pre-script stage.
“Beetlejuice” — which starred Michael Keaton as the titular ghoul who had several misadventures with a recently deceased young couple, played by Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin — grossed $73 million worldwide in its opening year, according to Box Office Mojo, and fittingly took home an Oscar for best makeup and hairstyling in 1989.
Now Beetlejuice-The Musical was a recent BIG hit on Broadway that only closed due to the pandemic.
The producers are restarting it next month. Performances resume April 8, 2022 at the Marquis Theatre.
