A Massachusetts woman is suing a Dunkin’ restaurant, claiming she was burned by scalding-hot coffee while employees mocked her.
Angela Barbosa says the three coffees she ordered were not properly capped or secured in the tray when they were handed to her through the drive-thru window.
The spill burned Barbosa’s legs and lower body, forcing her to take off her leggings right there in the parking lot. Court documents claim employees were “pointing, laughing, and mocking the plaintiff”.
Barbosa says the burns resulted in permanent scars and nerve damage. She’s suing for negligence and emotional distress.
