CSI star William Peterson had to be rushed to the hospital after getting sick

Since he’s been working nonstop for the past few weeks, they hope he is just dealing with exhaustion and overexertion.

William Petersen had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital after falling ill on set Friday in Los Angeles for CSI: Las Vegas.

At some point, he started feeling terrible and told the director that he needed a break. It became clear he might’ve needed more than just a rest because an ambulance was called and he was taken to a nearby facility.

A rep says it was mostly done out of an abundance of caution. He’s now out of the hospital and feeling fine.

There is no official word as to what caused the health scare.

In 2020, CBS began considering a limited series revival featuring original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation cast members, William Petersen and Jorja Fox. It was eventually greenlighted, with a video teaser for CSI: Vegas released on March 31, 2021.

CSI: Vegas premiered Wednesday, Oct. 6 on CBS and has been picked up by the network for a full season.
