Attorneys General Urge Facebook To Cancel ‘Instagram For Kids’

A bipartisan group of 44 state attorneys general are coming together to urge Facebook to cancel its plans for a version of Instagram aimed at kids.

In a letter, officials warn of the potential for kids to face bullying or possible grooming from sexual predators – and questioned Facebook’s record in protecting children.

The company says it will work with both child experts and government regulators to ensure “safety and privacy” for underage users.
