Britney Spears To Appear In Court To Speak About Conservatorship

A hearing was held on Tuesday (April 27) where Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny scheduled a hearing for June 23rd where Britney Spears will be able to discuss her conservatorship.

Britney’s attorney, Samuel Ingham, asked the judge to set the court date, “on an expedited basis,” but he didn’t reveal what Spears will say.

Britney has been vocal about not wanting her father to be over her conservatorship, which she’s been under for the past 13 years. Bessemer Trust was appointed co-conservator last fall, but the order hasn’t taken place due to not being able to agree on the governing language.

Ace Showbiz says Britney Spears’ father, Jamie, blasted his ex-wife and her mother, Lynn, in a new legal filing.

Documents read: ‘’Lynne has not been involved in their daughter’s conservatorship until very recently, and she is now raising objections to fees related to matters that she has no knowledge of.  Lynne was causing undue delay and expense in the administration of the Conservatorship, and ironically, stirring up more unnecessary media attention.”

A hearing to deal with various accounting and other motions is set for July 14th.
