Oreo, in conjunction with PFLAG, the nation’s largest family and ally organization, has gotten into the movie-making business.
The cookie company created a short, minimal dialogue film titled Proud Parent, which focuses on the challenges many LBGTQ community members can face when bringing a new partner home to meet their families for the first time.
Viewers are left with a message at the end reading, “A loving world starts with a loving home.”
In addition, Oreo is releasing limited-edition cookie packs, stuffed with rainbow-colored creme filling, for those who follow @OREO, as well as use the hashtags #ProudParent and #Giveaway on Twitter and Instagram. You can’t buy these in the store.
