Snoop Dogg Has Gone From Gin & Juice To Wine

Snoop Dogg Launches His Own Wine Label

Many know Snoop Dogg for his rap skills and the fact that he loves the “sticky icky,” but Snoop is venturing off into something more refined. The West Coast rap legend is launching his own wine label.  A multiyear partnership with Australian wine brand 19 Crimes resulted in Snoop Cali Red, the label’s premiere California entry.

This is a perfectly timed announcement since today (8/27/20)  is National Red Wine Day!

Snoop’s first wine is a mixture of Petite Syrah and Zinfandel with a tiny splash of Merlot and is incredibly affordable, at only $12 per bottle!

From CNN TRAVEL:

“The wine community is just about as good as the cannabis community.  Because it is always great conversation, peace and good food. It is very social at the end of the day.” –Snoop Dogg

19 Crimes takes its name from the full list of infractions that would result in automatic exile for an 18th century Englishman. The offenders were famously sent to sea, destined for a continent on the opposite end of the Earth. Once reviled criminals, they would eventually be celebrated as founders of Australia.

Celebrities have been trying to give us lots to drink this past year, Ryan Reynolds is pushing GIn, George Clooney makes a tequila that I love, but the world of celebrity wine has been hit or miss.

The NY Post recently shared that Cameron Diaz’s new Avaline white wine recently earned a D rating from consumers. It was voted the least favorite celebrity white wine while wines from Sting and Dave Matthews topped the list. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie still make wine together even though they are into year four of their divorce proceedings. The former couple’s Château Miraval was voted top “celebrity” rosé.
