From YouTube:

Some people are just born to be buried.

In Knockemstiff, Ohio and its neighboring backwoods, sinister characters — an unholy preacher (Robert Pattinson), twisted couple (Jason Clarke and Riley Keough), and crooked sheriff (Sebastian Stan) — converge around young Arvin Russell (Tom Holland) as he fights the evil forces that threaten him and his family. Spanning the time between World War II and the Vietnam war, director Antonio Campos’ THE DEVIL ALL THE TIME renders a seductive and horrific landscape that pits the just against the corrupted. Co-starring Bill Skarsgård, Mia Wasikowska, Harry Melling, Haley Bennett, and Pokey LaFarge, this suspenseful, finely-woven tale is adapted from Donald Ray Pollock’s award-winning novel.

Movie Teaser Trailer? (With a little bit of you know who…..)

Drew, ahem, Pokey and I met many years ago when we were both young musicians and he guest starred on stage playing guitar with my band for a couple tunes at a festival. Even as very young man, he had presence.  PL record a number of incredible songs that are on my personal most heard playlist. My favorite, hard to pick , but here is my first favorite from Pokey LaFarge.

No word on if we will get to hear a Pokey LaFarge song in the movie or if there is an attached soundtrack, but it wouldn’t be the first time Hollywood has needed his talents. In 2012, you heard him on an episode of HBO‘s Boardwalk Empire, 2013- The Lone Ranger ‘s original score, and we saw him pivot to acting in 2017’s SUN RECORDS TV series where he portrayed Hank Snow for 6 episodes

Devoted fans have seen Pokey LaFarge appear yearly as The Castle Theater in honor of Grandmother’s birthday a promise he always keeps. Watch this young man, as he will win a Grammy someday (IMO), but with these other talents being revealed, maybe an EGOT? Can’t wait to see him again!
