Gov. JB Prizker Issues “Stay At Home Order”

After two weeks of Gov. JB Prizker asking Illinois residents to stay home as much as possible during the COVID-19 outbreak, the governor has issued a “stay at home order” starting on Saturday, March 21 at 5pm, through Tuesday, April 7.

The order still allows people in Illinois to go to grocery stores an dpharmacies, and fuel up their cars at gas stations. Businesses that don’t sell food or medical supplies would be expected to close but all roads and bridges will remain open to traffic, and mass transit systems will continue to operate.

Illinois is now the second state to order people to stay home, a day after California issued a similar shelter in place order.
