The man behind Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang has died.

Lee Mendelson, 86, lost his battle with cancer on Christmas Day at his California home.

Mendelson produced over 50 animated TV Specials including Charlie Brown Christmas, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and Garfield and Friends just to name a few.
