For the launch of Disney+, Pixar created six short films. Moving in a more diverse direction, the company will release a second piece to feature a character on the spectrum.
News of the upcoming film has piqued excitement on social media, especially since the lead is nonverbal and a person of color
Coming out on January 10, Loop follows “a non-verbal, autistic girl and a chatty boy [who] are partnered on a canoeing trip. To complete their journey across an urban lake, they must both learn how the other experiences the world.”
