Do you watch investigative crime shows and wonder if you made the wrong career choice? FBI special agent is one of the hardest jobs to get into. According to statistics, less than 5% of the applicants are accepted. Answering a number of questions can show if the candidate has a natural potential to develop creative thinking and logic based reasoning skills. Would you be one of the few who nailed the test?

I got 4 out of 5, which made me feel good at first, but then doubt if this test is an accurate portrayal of what the FBI is looking for.

But they do admit the whole application process starts with a test. From fbijobs.gov :

The Phase I test is a computerized exam that is administered in a proctored environment. Candidates will
take five different assessments which measure the critical thinking and reasoning skills required to perform
the Special Agent job, as well as the background experiences that indicate whether or not the Special Agent
environment would be a good fit. If you receive a passing score on the Phase I test, you will proceed with the
application process and will be invited to a Meet and Greet session at your local FBI field office.
