One of the most wonderful moments of spring, is the blooming of a cherry blossom tree.
Washington D.C’s annual Cherry Blossom festival was delayed a few days this year due to the late season cool temperatures, but expect the photographs from the Tidal Basin to rapidly appear this week.

No worries about the bad weather preventing the people in Japan from having their enjoyment of cherry blossoms, thanks to the power of LEGOS!
The largest LEGO® brick cherry blossom tree measures 14 ft 4 in tall, 17 ft 9 in long and 16 ft 2 in wide, and was achieved by LEGOLAND Japan in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan, on 28 March 2018. Over 800,000 LEGO® bricks were needed to create this beautiful work of art.
The tree was was actually designed and built by a team of staff in the Czech Republic.
After more than 6,700 hours of hard work, the tree was shipped to Japan for final assembly.
The tree also features a set of LEGO® lanterns, which light up at night.
