Who else is ready to show exhaustion in just one click?
Heads up – a new set of emojis have just been created and approved
There are eight new emojis set for release next year: An exhausted face, a fingerprint, a purple splatter, a beet, a hollow tree, a harp, a shovel, and the flag for Sark, an English Channel island.
The emojis were approved by The Unicode Consortium, a non-profit group that regulates global emoji standards.
My favorite is the new exhausted or “Tired” face. The “yellow smiley face with a strained expression and dark markings under its eyes, likely caused by stress or exhaustion,” according to emoji reference site Emojipedia.org. Yup, going to need that one a lot!
The tired face was voted the “most anticipated emoji,” getting 60% of the vote in the World Emoji Awards during the summer, according to Emojipedia.org.
The emojis should show up over the next few months.
