WHAT IS HARD KNOCKS?
Hard Knocks is a reality sports documentary television series produced by NFL Films and HBO that was first broadcast in 2001. The show follows a NFL team through its training camp and covers the team’s preparation for the upcoming football season. You will see inside the personal and professional lives of players, coaches, and staff. The show usually focuses on rookies’ adjustments to playing in the NFL, usually with emphasis on the team’s most recent top draft pick.  It has been narrated by actor Liev Schreiber since its inception, with the only exception being the 2007 season, which was narrated by Paul Rudd, a giant fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The “Hard Knocks” crew, who had to edit down over 400 hours of footage from practice, meetings and other off-field activities, have teased to a “hilarious” surprise in the first episode.

In a preview for Hard Knocks that aired during Thursday night’s Pro Football Hall of Fame game between the Bears and Houston Texans, Williams revealed his whopping $25.5 million signing bonus to his teammates, who had incredible reactions.
