Normal star Leah Marlene has made it into the top 10 of American Idol

Leah Marlene has made it through a weekend of contestant cuts that were based on the public vote from fans online and through text. As of Sunday April 24th, Leah was in the top 14, but after her incredible performance of The Turtles classic ‘Happy Together’, she had all the votes required to continue on and sing again on Monday.

Leah, a 2019 graduate of Normal West High School, was an honors student who participated in choir and drama, while also performing locally in a variety of venues and talent shows. She hsd created and recorded many original songs, including her latest release of her album ‘MANY COLORS’ which was released shortly after the episode showing her getting an American Idol golden ticket aired on ABC.

But who was prepared for the next level performance Leah gave Monday night, with the Bob Dylan hit “Make You Feel My Love”??? I thought I knew Leah’s voice, but this particular performance was beyond, and undeniably the very best performance of the night.

WOW……Just wow…..If the show had to pick a winner last night, it would be Leah.
