The first volume of STRANGER THINGS 4 returns to NETFLIX May 27th
Netflix spent $30 million on Stranger Things season 4. Not for the whole season–PER EPISODE.
That brings the grand total of $270 million for the season.
This makes Stranger Things more expensive than Game of Thrones which cost $15 million per episode.
The whole season total would be more than quite a few Marvel movies, but the trailer does show that they are spending A LOT on special effects that will truly elevate this show.
Sources close to Netflix confirm the per episode amount and said the season will be 9 episodes split across two volumes. The first “volume” of season 4 will arrive on May 27 with the second dropping on July 1, and the series will end with season 5.
Since originally being released via the official Stranger Things writers’ Twitter account a year ago, the titles of each episode have been given a bit of an overhaul.
Season 4 episode titles:

- Episode 2: “Vecna’s Curse”
- Episode 3: “The Monster and the Superhero”
- Episode 4: “Dear Billy”
- Episode 5: “The Nina Project”
- Episode 6: “The Dive”
- Episode 7: “The Massacre at Hawkins Lab”
- Episode 8: “Papa”
- Episode 9: “The Piggyback”
