Kristen Stewart is really bringing Diana to life on the big screen

I first discovered the talented Kristen Stewart while watching her play Jodie Foster’s daughter in the 2002 David Fincher thriller Panic Room. And of course the world memorized her name when she was cast as lead character Bella Swan in the infamous TWILIGHT movies. KStew has been in a variety of block busters, but she found most of her critical successes in unusual and indie style roles. (Stewart remains the only American actress to ever take home a César, the French equivalent of an Oscar, for Sils Maria.)

But, never in a millions years would I have predicted her to be the perfect actress to portray the last Princess Diana. And now, after the first reviews of SPENCER have arrived, the consensus is that she will probably take home an OSCAR for her efforts. Here is the latest preview of her amazing portrayal of the woman we lost far too soon.

Spencer is a film directed by Pablo Larraín and written by Steven Knight. The film follows Diana’s decision to end her marriage to Prince Charles and leave the British royal family. 

Spencer is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States on November 5th, 2021.
