Twitter Testing Emoji Reactions to Tweets
If you’re still part of the Twitterverse you’ll be happy to know that the platform is testing emoji reactions for tweets.
The test will be available for Twitter users in Turkey that go beyond just pressing a heart.
For the test, Twitter will use “Clapping hands,” “Thinking face,” “Crying face,” “Tears of joy,” and just a simple heart.
The same type of reactions have been available on other platforms for years, but the idea behind it is to make reactions to tweets easier.
From CNET.com:
Twitter is working on a slate of privacy tools aimed at helping users manage their interactions on the platform, according to a Thursday report from Bloomberg.
The tools could include the ability to leave a conversation, hide likes, remove followers and archive older tweets.
The report follows Twitter’s announcement earlier in the week introducing Safety Mode, a feature that can automatically impose a seven-day block on accounts tweeting potentially harmful language.
In a statement, a Twitter spokesperson said the company is trying out new features based on feedback from a series of global research studies around “people’s perceptions of and needs for privacy.”
