 Dear Evan Hansen is coming to the big screen this year, and the first trailer is now out

DEAR EVEN HANSEN is a six-time Tony Award–winning Broadway musical that helped make Ben Platt a star.

Platt is reprising his role for the film, playing Evan Hansen, a socially anxious teenage boy who’s thrust into the spotlight after a lie he tells about the tragic death of a classmate spirals beyond his control.

At the 2017 TONY AWARDS, DEH went home with six awards, including Best Musical and Best Actor for Ben Platt.

Dear Evan Hansen the movie will be released in theaters on Sept. 24. That date is also Platts birthday, when he will turn 28.
