Who wants to try this? I DO!
With over 2 million views, a video decrying a recipe of popcorn salad from THE FOOD NETWORK is serving up a lot of attention on Twitter.
Some have branded it “a recipe from h*ll” while others called it “a crime against humanity.”

Chicago’s own Molly Yeh shared the recipe for “Crunchy Snap Pea Popcorn Salad“, which includes cheese powdered popcorn mixed with peas, carrots, shallots, watercress, and celery leaves
It’s then tossed with a salad dressing made of mayo, sour cream, cider vinegar, sugar, and Dijon mustard. Click HERE for Molly’s recipe, directions and video!
I’m personally not into cheese popcorn, (I actually hate those flavors together), so I’m not going to replicate this shamed recipe, but I am going to try adding fresh buttery salted popcorn into today’s hard boiled egg salad, which in my house includes mayo, DIY sweet pickles, yellow mustard, and celery salt. Adding popcorn could level that dish up and add lots of fiber!
Could popcorn be the next crouton? I hope so!
As a woman who has been trying to become gluten free due to digestive issues, popcorn is my go to when I am craving a salty crunch. But before you try this out as a dish to pass, I would highly recommend taking great care to filter out the danger to your dental work pop nots and un-popped kernels that could be disguised in the dressing.
