Verizon is recalling more than 2.5 million mobile hotspots – because ‘hotspot’ was a bit too literal a term in this case.

- The 4G devices contained a lithium battery that could overheat and cause fire or burns. At least 15 people reported their devices overheating and two people suffered minor injuries.
- The recall applies to Ellipsis Jetpack Mobile Hotspots, which were sold in stores and used in schools. Users can contact Verizon for a replacement device.
