The coronavirus pandemic has been particularly stressful for teachers – so stressful that many are thinking of quitting.

According to a new survey, 27% of teachers are considering leaving their job due to the pandemic – either with early retirement, a leave of absence, or quitting the field altogether.

The same survey found that 60% of teachers enjoy their job less, while 59% “do not feel secure in their school district’s health and safety restrictions”.
