Maroon 5 Releases ‘Nobody’s Love’ Music Video Along With Donation To ACLU of Southern California
Maroon 5 dropped their first song of 2020 with “Nobody’s Love.” The song and video centers around the decriminalization of marijuana.
David Dobkin directed the video which was shot on an iPhone. Adam Levine sings about missing someone while rolling and smoking blunts.
The video ends with a PSA on behalf of the ACLU, “It’s time to end the War on Marijuana. The aggressive enforcement of marijuana possession laws needlessly ensnares hundreds of thousands of people into the criminal justice system and wastes billions of taxpayers’ dollars,” the statement reads.
“What’s more, it is carried out with staggering racial bias. Despite being a priority for police departments, the War on Marijuana has failed to reduce marijuana use and availability and diverted resources that could be better invested in our communities.” Maroon 5 and Interscope Records have committed to donating to the ACLU of Southern California.
In Illinois we have made medicinal and recreational marijuana available and acceptable, but despite state laws, it is still illegal under federal law.
