“You Don’t Need To Plant Your Tulips Right Now”

A Lowe’s Home Improvement employee is speaking out against the company because she believes they are putting “profit over safety.” The anonymous employee says customers are flocking to the store to get home decor, paint and plants in order to finish home projects while stay-at-home orders are in place across the nation.

“I get it that it’s going to keep you busy, but that’s not going to keep you alive,” she said. “Moral is low with employees not having adequate protection against the Coronavirus while working. She says there isn’t enough hand sanitizer or masks to go around to prevent herself and co-workers from getting sick.”

She also condemned Lowe’s for continuing to promote their “Spring Black Friday” sale. “We’re like, promoting it. They’re sending out emails saying get your home projects finished. They’re sending out emails saying do this and here’s our weekly ad and here’s our flyers for spring Black Friday, but that’s not essential.” In a statement, Lowe’s says they have provided N95 masks to employees that wanted them and they’ve stopped the selling of them in order to donate them to healthcare workers on the front line.
