Astronaut Chris Hadfield Offers Tips To Self Isolation

STEP ONE: “Take care of your spaceship.”

CANADIAN ASTRONAUT CHRIS HADFIELD OFFERS TIPS TO SELF-ISOLATION

Learn from a man who has more experience in long term isolation that the rest of us. Chris Hadfield is the king of astronauts on social media, but he is best known for being the first Canadian to walk in space. He also flew two NASA Space Shuttle missions and was commander of the International Space Station.

From CNET.com:

Hadfield recommends you have a mission and make goals during this time. Decide what you want to get done and what you need to accomplish. He suggests people start a new project or study something new like how to play guitar or learn another language.

“Take care of yourself, take care of your family and friends, take care of your spaceship,” Hadfield said.

Hadfield isn’t the only astronaut with tips on self-isolating during this difficult time. NASA astronaut Buzz Aldrin said he was “lying on my ass and locking the door” to protect himself from the virus. Sage advice, indeed.
