An Ohio man could face criminal charges for headbutting a referee during a basketball game – for fifth-grade girls.
Police say a group of parents were “upset” about calls made by referee Doug Thompson. During a timeout, the father of one of the players jumped out of the stands and headbutted Thompson in the face, injuring him.
The man has been banned for life from attending future games and police are working on filing criminal charges.
Earlier this week, a North Carolina man left the bleachers and tackled his son’s opponent during a high school wrestling match.
