Uber is working on a way to beat rush-hour traffic – by flying over it.
The ride-sharing company just unveiled its plans for a ‘flying taxi’ – an electric plan that can transport a pilot and up to three passengers by air, at speeds of up to 180 miles per hour.
A model of the aircraft, which resembles a cross between a small plane and a helicopter, was unveiled at the CES show in Las Vegas and is being developed by Hyundai. Uber hopes to have air travel available by 2023.
