Australian actor Chris Hemsworth made a huge $1 million donation to aid the Australian bushfire.

Hi everyone. Like you, I want to support the fight against the bushfires here in Australia. My family and I are contributing a million dollars. Hopefully you guys can chip in too. Every penny counts so whatever you can muster up is greatly appreciated. The Marvel actor took to Instagram to ask his followers to donate to the cause if they could.
Hemsworth lives in Byron Bay, New South Wales with his wife and three children. In the Instagram video, Hemsworth announced that his donation would go directly to firefighters working on the frontline and communities who have been affected by the brushfire. Another heatwave is on the way which could make the wildfires even worse. As of Tuesday, January 7th officials in New South Wales said the fire has taken over 1,588 homes, 25 people and millions of animals have also died since the fires started in September.
