The star of the movie that inspired a live musical, is going to do the stage production for the very first time!

The 1992 film SISTER ACT, which also starred Dame Maggie Smith and Harvey Keitel, made hundreds of millions of dollars at the box office, then it spawned a sequel and eventually a broadway musical.

Sister Act is going to be in London  for just 39 performances from July 29-August 30 at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith. Brenda Edwards, who plays Deloris in the tour, will star in Thursday matinee performances.

From Producer Jamie Wilson said it had been revised and refreshed to create a “newly adapted production”.

He said: “This is a very special one-off opportunity created just for London to see one of the most loved actors of our time playing the part she is so famous and so loved for.
