Celebrate Earth Day With Recycled Hits and The Ecology Action Center

Earth Day has been a day to celebrate the planet and encourage people to be more environmentally friendly, since 1970. It is now an annual event and is hugely responsible for the start of the modern environmental movement.

Whatever you plan on doing, whether that includes planting trees, raising awareness about recycling, volunteering for green projects, or simply reducing the amount of energy you consume…make sure to blast 101.5 WBNQ loud, because we too are doing something to celebrate!

Earth Day is April 22nd every year, and this year WBNQ is recycling some of your favorite throwbacks all Earth Day weekend long!

And since you’re ready to put forth your green thumb, plan on helping Mother Nature Saturday, April 21 from 9a-12p, The Ecology Action Center, a not-for-profit environmental agency of McLean County will be hosting a “Clean Up” at Constitution Trail/Sugar Creek. They’re known for inspiring and assisting locals in creating, strengthening and preserving a healthy environment.

You won’t be alone on April 22nd, because Earth Day is supported by a host of celebrities, including Leonardo Di Caprio, Emma Watson, Miley Cyrus and Matt Damon.
