A team of scientists in Sweden is working on robots that will be “fully conscious copies” of an individual’s deceased loved ones. The aim is to create technology that recreates the voices of the deceased and the ability to answer simple questions.

Eventually, they intend to continue to develop the AI so that it’s able to understand and answer everyday conversational questions. The researchers want their creation to be a way for people to reconnect with their dead family members and potentially relive old times together.
