Puppy Gets Fired From Police Academy

Gavel the puppy was just trying to get buy with his puppy police career when his dreams were crushed! The German shepherd was recruited as a puppy to be a police dog in Queensland, Australia. After months of training, police said he “did not display the necessary aptitude for a life on the front line.”

AKA: HE IS TOO FRIENDLY! He loved meeting new strangers and rather play with them than arrest them!

Although Gavel had to say goodbye to his police career, he was offered a job working with the Governor of Queensland as the Vice-Regal Dog. Now he gets to makes friends every day as he welcomes visitors and tour groups to the grounds of Queensland’s Government House.
