Candles sometimes are what fills the home of that perfect aroma. They leave a scent in your mind that will always remind you of visiting grandma…but wee they burning the “right way.”

One of the biggest issues people run into with their candles is tunneling, which is when the middle area burns down deeper than the surrounding spaces, you have to take time to let the candle burn properly.

According to a former Yankee Candle employee, wrap your burning candle in a piece of aluminum foil, the surface will melt evenly and make up for whatever tunneling already happened.

Clip the tip, clipping the tip will allow the candle to burn longer. The shorter the stick, the longer the burn time. This will allow the candle to burn neatly and not stain the glass.

Lastly, save the candle jar, it’s the perfect jar for your makeup and lip items.
