Siri can be very helpful to iPhone users, but at times, she can also cause controversy, like if you say “One-Zero-Eight” to her.
It turns out that 108 is the Indian equivalent of 911, and saying it to Siri will have her call emergency services.
People on Twitter are trying to prank friends by having them say 108, or other numbers like 112, 110, 999 and 000 which reach out to emergency services in other countries.
If you got a iPhone say 108 to Siri
(One zero eight) you’re welcome đâ Tre (@SpeakingofTre) March 14, 2017
Don’t fall for it, it will just take away emergency operators’ time from people who really need it.
