Groupon recently took a survey with the results showing that men give 10% more effort than women do on Valentines Day.

You read that correctly ladies, it turns out that men are really pushing towards giving the most effort for the ones they care about on this lovey-dovey holiday.

The survey also stated that the average man will spend $217 on his lady and women will spend $99 on their man.

Now don’t get me wrong, anything and everything is appreciated no matter how much money is spent on your partner, but it is very interesting to see the opposing statistics that were in the survey.

But don’t give yourself too much of a pat on the back boys. Turns out the survey also states that the average person in the first year of a relationship will spend $223 on Valentine’s Day. That number drops by a third after year one!

If you’d like to make the best impression on Valentine’s Day, the expense of the gift shouldn’t be a deal breaker. It’s all about what comes from your heart and what you know will mean the most to your partner. Regardless of statistics, just show your significant other how much they mean to you and I guarantee it will be appreciated, no matter what the cost is.
