Founded by a group of business leaders, Building Lives Foundation, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, recognizes the harsh conditions of Illinois’ homeless veterans’. They remain committed to assisting veterans by providing one-on-one mentoring, health and psychological care referrals, employment, transportation, housing and financial education.

Building Lives Christmas Gift Sale starts Wednesday, November 30th through Saturday December 3rd. All benefits help homeless veterans in the Bloomington-Normal area.

Over 45 million men and women have served in the military to defend our democratic freedoms since the founding of our country. More than 1.3 million soldiers have made the ultimate sacrifice. As of this year, there are roughly 1.3 million serving active duty and 811 thousand serving in military reserve. Many of these veterans, who survive the military service, will return home to find themselves facing even bigger circumstances. Our country’s veteran resources are overwhelmed and unable to directly focus on veterans’ health and psychological needs.
