In life the possibilities are endless. You follow your dreams to have that ideal job and meet some of the coolest people. Creating new beginnings and sharing bittersweet endings. Laura Ewan’s beginning began with the aspiration of wanting to work for Radio Bloomington.
In the summer of 2008 she interned with the WJBC team. What a dream this was, but little did she know, her life with Radio Bloomington had only began! College, homework, gradating and flourishing in Chicago was her life until May 2012. She officially joined Radio Bloomington full-time as Morning Show Producer. Ewan isn’t your average person, because she quickly gathered many other titles, such as: Promotions Director, WJBC Assistant Program Director and WBNQ’s News Reporter. Yeah, I think it’s safe to say that she is the “HCIC” (Head Chick In Charge).
But with greatness comes lots of other amazing opportunities, “I will be leaving Radio Bloomington to start a fresh new journey,” said Ewan. “I’m ready for a new challenge and to have a more set schedule. I will be Manager of Membership Engagement at McLean County Chamber of Commerce. I’m grateful to have found another job that will will allow me to interact with the same people in the community, that I’ve met through radio.”
Although it’s bittersweet, she promises to possibly come back to broadcast, “I will make my return to radio the day One Direction gets back together for a reunion tour.”
