When I first thought about relocating to Blo-No from two major cities (Kansas City and St. Louis, MO.) I thought to myself, “What did I get myself into, do they even have a Target.” Come to find out, I don’t live too far from a Target, which is nice. I’ve had a little less than a month to get into the swing of things and already I’m falling in love. I’ve managed to get “out and about” and here’s my top five favorite things:
- Gene’s Dairy Delight – My first live remote was at Gene’s and boy was this a great treat! I’ve never had ice cream that made me melt. P.S. I went back for second’s the following day.
Gene’s Dairy Delight/Facebook - Fairview – My second remote was here, how convenient right? I met some amazing community members, plus the water is perfect for this hot summer weather Blo-No has!
Town of Normal Parks and Recreation / Facebook - Uptown Normal – The area is extremely nice and new, plus anytime I can run in Medici, I will! Food is my relationship at the moment.
Medici Craft Beer & Jazz Street Festival/ Facebook - The People – Everyone who I’ve encountered have been some of the best people I’ve come across, especially my co-workers! P.S. It was my first Hy-Vee Market Grill eperience and I can’t wait to go back…can someone say Moscow Mule!
- Avanti’s Gondola – Generally, I don’t prefer to eat a cold-cut sandwich, but this blew me away! P.S. It’s even better toasted.
