Andy Tried Overnight Oats And Didn’t Hate It

overnight oats recipe

Admittedly, oats for breakfast sound like something horses should be eating. I’m not really into breakfast, in general. (Unless it involves pancakes and sausage.) So when someone sent me this recipe, I was like, yeah whatever. But, I started looking into it and the only things I was concerned about were the oats and the cinnamon (it’s not good for me in large quantities).

So I totally made this last night and I loved it. It has about 12.5 grams of protein to kickstart your day or help you get rid of those Thirsty Thursday remnants. AND it tastes pretty damn good.

Here’s how to make it:

1: In a 250ml mason jar (or whatever), layer these ingredients in this order.

1/3 – 1/2 cup rolled oats

oats

1 tsp chia seeds

chia

1 tbsp peanut butter

peanut butter

1/4 tsp cinnamon

cinnamon

1/8 tsp vanilla extract

almond

1/2 banana cut into pieces

bananas

1/2 cup soy or almond milk

almond milk

2: Seal and shake the jar rigorously until combined. Make sure they’re mixed well after shaking.

3: Refrigerate overnight.

That’s it.

Here’s to your healthy morning eating habits!
