Sitting behind the piano, a familiar place for Elton John, he paid tribute to the late David Bowie at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles with a mash-up of “Space Oddity / Rocket Man.”

Elton was joined by quite a few younger hit-makers over the course of the two hour performance. Shawn Mendes kicked it off with the track “Tiny Dancer.” Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump joined Elton for “Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting and Demi Lovato matched Elton in volume and energy when she joined him on stage for “Don’t Go Breaking My heart.”
