So since I am a huge fan of the 1939 film, “The Wizard of Oz” and an even bigger fan of the broadway musical “Wicked”, I’m pretty excited about “The Wiz Live”, NBC’s take on “The Wizard of Oz.”

The first image of the cast has been released and has some pretty big names in it including: Ne-Yo as the Tin Man,  David Alan Grier as the Cowardly Lion, Elijah Kelley as the scarecrow and Shanice Williams as Dorothy.

The musical is set to air as a three-hour live event on Thursday, December 3rd.

The remainder of the cast includes: Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, Amber Riley, Uzo Aruba, Common and Stephanie Mills.
