Like a lot of people, my family went through a divorce when I was a kid, and eventually new people came into the picture.  Everybody handles that in their own way — as far as I’m concerned, I don’t have a “stepmother,” I have a mom.  I don’t have “half-sisters” and a “step-sister,” I have sisters.  Full-stop, end of discussion.  Some people don’t go that way, and that’s cool…but this dad took the whole thing to an amazing new level.

Todd is about to walk his daughter down the aisle, when he stops, leaves her at the beginning of the aisle and goes and grabs her stepdad so they can walk her down together.  Here’s the photographer’s take on it:

Grab tissues… because you will need it as you look through these pictures. Todd Bachman, father of the bride, brought his daughter to the beginning of the aisle…he stopped the procession while people were confused at his actions and he walked up to his daughter’s stepfather. Todd reached out his hand and grabbed Brittany’s stepfather and pulled him down the aisle to walk their daughter down the aisle together. NOT A DRY EYE at the ceremony..including me! Families are what we make them…make it about your kids and not your ego. Congratulations Todd Bachman on showing your kids what true love really is…love for your children.
