With the 40th anniversary of our WBNQ radio station occurring this year, I have spent many hours going through boxes of tapes, cd’s, photos and more, for use in flashback displays coming soon.

I didn’t save these spots myself, so I’m now forever grateful to YouTuber Daniel Wave for uploading the two most infamous TV commercials we ever aired.

Timeline? After 17 years of 4am wake ups, I’m not exactly sure, as it is all a little blurry. I believe these aired in 2005 and 2006. Daniel may have uploaded them in 2008, but the morning show had changed by then. Yes, the worst day of my WBNQ life occurred in February 2008, so these couldn’t have aired then.

Here is the first spot that got a few very angry people calling the front desk.

But a clever ad man decided we should hop ON TO instead of away from the controversy with this spot.

Sadly, a few people thought this spot was even worse!
